![]() There might be unknown reasons to why a spool server can't be added in certain areas. We aren't OSK or his accountant, ad revenue, supporter and server costs are unknown. Obviously there are gaps, but we don't know why. You can see the list of them here, you can see that the spool servers are mainly located around very population dense regions globally. Unless you somehow kidnapped OSK or his accountant, we don't know if it's even feasible to acquire more servers. But no matter how good servers one have(the main servers are located at OVHcloud in France, so it's unlikely server hardware bottleneck), and no matter how much desync and lag mitigation is done, nothing can 100% fix players with very bad internet, or ISP routing into bad areas(there's parts of Germany, where the routing is absolutely terrible and the ISP responsible for that area's routing refuses to fix it, it's notorious known reason for lag in 2 MMO's I've played in the past). "Pretending" to be competitive, and whatnot makes no sense when you can obviously see that efforts been made to mitigate lag. If you're experiencing lag, it means either you or your opponent have bad connection to their spool server. The spools servers are the ones who connect to the main servers and they are located at datacenters, so they should have business class very good internet connections. If you've been playing since beta, you should know that players connect to spool servers closest to them. If there's a reason that I might have forgot or not know, feel free to comment because I am really curious about this.įinally, does the competitive culture benefit the game or worsens it? Pushing people to be the best versions of themselves can be interesting, especially in tournaments but what about new players or those who want to have fun? Which makes me wonder, if the surroundings affect people to become better, how did it even start in the first place?Īnother minor reason might be the support of tournaments, but that's about it. Maybe the surrounding of pro players somehow increase their drive to become better. ![]() But in lobbies, there's a very good chance that an X rank will join such as quickplay or even streamer lobbies. Tetra league somehow makes you want to achieve a goal (ex: achieving X rank).īut even still, those who don't play tetra league usually play in lobbies. Here are some of my reasons why this might have happended: ![]() I play casually back in tetris friends and jstris long ago, but when I play tetrio, I have this urge to get better, and be inspired by top players. But I've never seen myself improve so fast in tetrio. I've played tetris friends and jstris before for years. Personally, tetrio has made me increase my tetris skills extremely high in just a few months. It just shows that so many people improve that quick over time. Blink recently in his taws/harddrop superlobby caps even said that high U ranks are basically low/mid X ranks. It's pushing people to become better and better.
